A discussion on the booing on Anzac Day, honour, respect and reverence to the fallen and veterans

I went to the dawn service on Anzac Day today. It was my first time.

There was an unfortunate thing that happened. I talk about what I think of the situation. On reviewing the video, I believe I make myself clear, despite interrupting myself.

Despite my reservations, I ultimately did not like the booing. We talk about why.

I believe I have a complex view on this, and I think that is ok to do so. I am empathetic and want to know the truth of things.

I talk about my day with Gillysos who paid his respects too.

I also talk about my grandfather Malcolm Smart, who served with distinction in New Guinea in the Ramu Valley, Shaggy Ridge and other battles. He was a lieutenant in the 4th Field Regiment Artillery. Thank you Malcolm, who I never met.

Then I talk about Stan and Cecylia Witkowski, my grandparents, who escaped a horrible situation in Poland and Germany. Heroes! I love them to this day even though they are gone. Then I talk about Buddy, my grandmother, she was the best. There's nothing like a grandmother's love. I love you Buddy. I will see you again.

We end it on talking about how we all want to show honour and respect to those who have fallen in service.

I also talk about some troubles that face Australia and it's culture. We must remain strong and have hope. We can do this together.
