The Soul Benefits of a Midlife Crisis

The King Solomon believed in God but he wasn't sure if there was more than this world, than this life. He went into a journey of tasting pleasures and working for success and material achievements, but nothing fulfilled him and, at the end, he despaired and concluded it was all for nothing.

Solomon's midlife crisis is a lesson to us to use our own crisis as an opportunity to do an inventory of our spiritual condition and turn it in the right direction while we have the chance.

Life without God is meaningless because God is the meaning of Life. All things are from Him, and through Him, and to Him (Romans 11:36), including us. Jesus Christ offers us an eternity of peace and joy beyond everything we could possibly acquire or accomplish in this world. Only in Him we are truly fulfilled and can rest.
