The Call for Unity Among the Believers

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Brothers, sisters, friends and elders, we welcome you to the 36 episode of the Islamic informative videos based on healing and incidents from the Holy Quran. In this video, we will described:
The Call for Unity Among the Believers

In the wake of battles like Uhud and the growing challenges faced by the early Muslim community, Allah revealed powerful guidance emphasizing the need for unity and brotherhood among the believers. The Qur’an calls upon the Muslim ummah to hold tightly to the rope of Allah and avoid division, recognizing that disunity weakens faith, undermines collective strength, and opens the door to the influence of the enemies of Islam. The call to unity is not only a social or political directive—it is a spiritual command rooted in divine wisdom and essential for the survival and growth of the Muslim community.

Allah addresses the believers as one united body, bonded by faith rather than lineage, tribe, or race. In Surah Aal-e-Imran, Allah reminds them of their previous state—enemies lost in darkness—until He brought their hearts together through Islam. This unity is one of the greatest blessings of Allah, and the believers are warned not to return to the old ways of tribalism, jealousy, and selfish disputes. Islam came to erase the divisions that plagued society and to build a community founded on mutual love, respect, and shared purpose. The believers were not simply individuals; they were brothers and sisters in faith, connected by a sacred bond that transcended blood and nationality.

This message became especially crucial after the Battle of Uhud, where moments of disobedience and individual decisions impacted the entire community. The loss served as a reminder that every believer’s actions affect the whole. Disunity, even in a small group, can lead to chaos and defeat. Allah used this moment to emphasize that collective strength lies in shared values, mutual support, and sincere cooperation. When the believers work together for the sake of Allah, they become like a solid structure—unshakable and supported by each other.

Brotherhood in Islam is more than kindness or friendship—it is a commitment to uphold the dignity, safety, and honor of every fellow Muslim. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) repeatedly emphasized this in his teachings, comparing the believers to a single body: when one part is in pain, the whole body feels it. This deep sense of connection ensures that no one is left behind and that the success of one is the success of all. Backbiting, envy, and division are strictly condemned, as they tear the fabric of brotherhood that Allah has carefully woven through the faith.

In times of external threats and internal challenges, unity becomes a shield. The Qur’an urges the believers to forgive each other, to settle disputes, and to stand together in prayer, action, and vision. Differences in opinion may exist, but they should never break the brotherhood that Islam has created. Working together for the common cause of spreading Islam, defending its values, and uplifting each other is not optional—it is essential.

In conclusion, the call to unity among the believers is one of the core messages of the Qur’an and the life of the Prophet (PBUH). Through unity, the early Muslims transformed from scattered tribes into a powerful, compassionate, and guided ummah. Their example remains a timeless lesson for Muslims today: in unity lies strength, mercy, and the fulfillment of Allah’s divine promise.

With this, we ask for your permission until tomorrow and pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to act on the Quran and Hadith, Amen

Allah Hafiz
