Davis: Calling Propagandists ’Mainstream Media’ Downplays Their Long History Of Hoaxing

“Look no further than the behavior over the last 25 years of what many people erroneously call the ‘mainstream media.’ That moniker could not be further from the truth, as there is nothing mainstream about the politics of the major media outlets that have sought to control the political conversation. Propaganda press, corporate media, legacy media, enemy of the people, or even left-wing media are far more accurate terms to describe the collection of major broadcast, cable, print, and online news outlets that seek to control what we see, hear, and think. These legacy media outlets lurch from hoax to hoax, from manufactured hysteria to manufactured hysteria, with little evident concern for verifiable facts, let alone actual truth,” Federalist CEO Sean Davis said at Hillsdale College’s National Leadership Seminar.
