Tom Brady and Bruce Wayne: Why Do We Fall?

In early 2019, I was inspired by my hero, Tom Brady, leading his team to the Super Bowl yet again, after a heartbreaking loss to the Eagles the year before in Super Bowl 52. Everyone seemed to think Brady's career would end after such a painful defeat, yet he proved everyone wrong. Super Bowl 53 was not without its challenges, however, as Brady would face the vaunted Rams defensive line, a unit that threatened to break his body and spirit. Brady's career trajectory of triumphing after painful defeats and failures reminded me of my fictional hero, Bruce Wayne, and the question and response that became a key motif of the Dark Knight Trilogy: "Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."

After over two years' work, I finally completed a full-length film showing each man's journey, side by side. My local cinema showed the film one Sunday afternoon in August 2021, a memory I will forever cherish.
