Many Christians lament the decline of the Church in the 21st Century. Church attendance seems to be at an all time low, and those who come to church, seemingly, are those who got saved decades ago. Many Christians believe that the church is dying. A significant portion of Americans (56%) say they seldom or never attend religious services. Millennial and Gen Z are more likely to report never attending religious services compared to older generations. Church membership in the US has fallen below 50% for the first time. Gallup predicts that church attendance will likely continue to decline in the future, given younger Americans' weaker attachments to religion. Why is this happening?
