Balance the Scales of the Heart in Iyar!

As we prepare to enter the Hebrew month of Iyar, we enter a time of “balancing the scales of our hearts.”

“Honest weights and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights in the bag are His work.” –Proverbs 16:11

The Hebrew month of Iyar is unique because it falls during the “Counting of the Omer.” This period is between Passover and Shavuot.

During this time, people count the days in anticipation of the first new grain offering at Shavuot. Thus, Iyar is a month that offers a bridge and connection between the Hebrew months of Nisan and Sivan.

Iyar is a month of introspection and contemplation with the Lord. Ask Him to balance your heart so that it comes into alignment with His as He pours out great instruction at Shavuot.
