This album is the first true collection compiled as a concept work, written mostly in 2007 and early months of 2008. Tycoons takes on a much darker theme than previous albums, and is considered to also be the first work that Mason Maestro finds his true form of writing, developing the type of lyretry that would define his work for the next several years.
