Pedestrian struck and killed in “targeted attack” in Haida Gwaii, police say

Police have charged a 32-year-old man with second-degree murder in what they say is the “targeted” use of a vehicle to kill a man in Haida Gwaii.

Family identified the victim as Luke Pearson, a Skidegate resident and member of the Haida Juus Eagle Clan.

On Friday, RCMP said prosecutors had approved murder charges against Tyson Young.

As Catherine Urquhart reports, investigators believe the attack was linked to a long-standing feud.
