Children in Gaza are most affected by hunger and starvation.

Medical facilities across the Strip are reporting that cases of malnutrition among those under 16 years are rising.

Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javed has this report.

Hundreds of thousands of families have been relying on the daily meals received from the World Food Program and community kitchens across Gaza.
It is hard to imagine how this large number of people – already displaced and traumatized with scars of war – are going to get by in the coming days.
People are hungry. They have already been rationing supplies. It is not just the organizations, it is also families running out of supplies. They do not have any necessities.
Close to 450,000 newly displaced people are on the verge of famine due to the lack of food. For more than 50 days now – that is how long the Israeli blockade has been going on, with zero entry of food, medicine, water or fuel to keep bakeries and other vital facilities running.

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reporting from Gaza.

On the afternoon of April 26 2025, four Palestinians were killed and others injured, from an Israeli airstrike on a cafeteria in Deir Al-Balah, central of the Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera journalist, Anas Al-Sharif, published a video of him while covering the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians of Gaza, remembering the slain journalist, Ismail Al-Ghoul, who was deliberately targeted and killed, while on duty by an Israeli drone strike.

Anas Al-Sharif wrote, "In the heart of danger, the lens of truth never breaks. The voice of the martyr, Ismail Al-Ghoul, echoes in my ears, and his will rests upon my shoulders.
We do not fade away, we carry the journey forward."
