GHOST OF YOTEI Directors Address Claims the GAME IS WOKE

The directors behind the upcoming Ghost of Yotei are addressing claims the follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima is going to be woke.

On the surface there is nothing inherently woke about having a female protagonist, but what is concerning are other rumors surrounding the game the two directors are not addressing. Out of the gate the directors either willingly or unwittingly misrepresented the claims as to why people think the game is woke. It’s not simply because it has a female protagonist instead of a male lead. It’s also unclear whether the rumors are true about the story being initially a continuation of the previous game before activist writers came onto the project.
