Part 1 of 3 covers sections 1-17 of Heidegger’s Being and Time. Advanced level and if you find it a little difficult, keep in mind two things: 1. We can think of a world of Nature and a world of man’s concerns, 2. Science makes nature intelligible to us and Heidegger wants to piece together what makes the world of our concerns intelligible to us. Topics include existentialism, Heidegger’s revolution in ontology, the constituents of Being-in-the-world, the ready-to-hand, circumspection, signs, non-thematic knowledge.
