A decade has passed since the Trojan War ended, yet the Greek hero Odysseus has not made his way back to Ithaca. In his absence, a boisterous crowd of suitors has taken over his palace, plundering his estate while relentlessly pursuing his wife, Penelope, who has remained steadfastly loyal to her husband. Meanwhile, Odysseus's son, Telemachus, yearns to drive the suitors away but lacks the experience and confidence to confront them. Among the suitors, Antinous schemes to murder Telemachus, seeking to remove the sole obstacle to their control of the palace.
