Heaven Looks Down

In the quiet of the night, I hear the call,
A whisper in the darkness, it beckons us all.
The fool's heart, it wanders, lost in despair,
Turning away from the love, from the grace in the air.
Oh, the works we have done, so abominable and bare,
But still, Lord, You look down, see the burden we bear.

Heaven looks down on the children of men,
Searching for the hearts that believe once again.
In the shadows of doubt, Lord, help us to see,
Restore our souls, bring us back to Thee.

We’ve wandered like sheep, each turning his way,
But none has done good, in their hearts they stray.
Oh, the workers of iniquity, they feast on the weak,
Lord, let us remember the truth that we seek.
You are the refuge, the hope for the poor,
In our moments of silence, we long to implore.

Jacob will rejoice, on this promise we share.
Oh, the joy overflowing, the hearts that were sad,
In Zion, we’ll sing, for the life that we’ve had.
Let the chains of the lost be broken anew,
In the light of Your glory, we find strength to pursue.
