Officials say a suspect has been arrested in connection to the theft of a bag belonging to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Easter Sunday. In a post on X Sunday, Noem said the incident happened as she "shared a meal with my family at a Washington DC restaurant." She called the suspect "a career criminal who has been in our country illegally for years." The suspect is accused of stealing Noem's Gucci handbag containing $3,000 in cash and other personal belongings. According to the New York Post, Mario Bustamante-Leiva, 49, of Santiago, Chile was arrested on Saturday.
