This week, we turn back the clock to the glamorous, art-deco era of the 1930s, where in a stroke of genius the latest technology for third rail electric trains to the south coast was combined with the absolute best of Pullman luxury to create the Brighton Belle, a staple of the UK's exclusive named trains, and one that would stand the test of time in the same manner as the Flying Scotsman, the Torbay Express and even its venerable counterpart the Golden Arrow.
