GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition | Mission #69: BLACK PROJECT

Carl arrives at Verdant Meadows looking for Mike Toreno, only to be greeted by the voice of The Truth, who’s perched on a wrecked aircraft. Truth cryptically questions CJ’s involvement with the government and warns him about hidden lies, conspiracies, and the fact that “we're not alone.”

Truth convinces CJ to drive to Area 69, a secret military facility in the desert. Once there, he suddenly takes off in his mothership van, leaving CJ to infiltrate the heavily guarded base alone. Inside, the facility goes into full Condition Red as CJ stealthily breaches the underground lab. After confronting a terrified scientist who hands over a keycard, CJ makes his way to the launch bay, where he discovers the mysterious black project — a Jetpack. As alarms blare and soldiers scramble to stop him, CJ steals the $60-million prototype and escapes the base, flying into the night sky. He reunites with The Truth at Arco del Oeste, handing over the jetpack. True to form, Truth praises the feat and drives off without offering CJ a ride back. CJ is left standing in the desert, once again abandoned after another surreal mission.
