Pope Francis and globalisation

In 2015 he called for the Catholic Church, ‘working with the leadership of other religions’ to lead ‘a bold and humanitarian action by the world’s religions acting in unison’ to back the UN’s sustainable development goals, ‘into sustainable economic development pathways for the 21st century.’ He was a major speaker at the UN’s ‘2030 Agenda’ in September 2015 in which he proposed a kind of benign world government to sort out the ills of the planet.
