Plug their ears and shut their eyes...." coincides with Isaiah 29:10 "...YAH has poured out upon you (Israel) the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has He covered." The spirit of blindness upon the Israelites/black slave descendants is also referred to in Deuteronomy 29:4, Jeremiah 5:21, Ezekiel 12:2, et cetera. In Isaiah 6:11-13, after Isaiah asks YAH how long this will go on, YAH describes the 70 C.E. destruction of Israel and the following years, even unto the present-day because He says all of Israel would be removed from the promised land and not be allowed to have any sovereignty there anymore, declaring, "If even a tenth--a remnant--survive, it will be invaded again and burned." When Simon Bar Kokhba and the Israelites attempted to retake the land in 135 C.E. and the Roman Emperor Hadrian suppressed them, he renamed the land of Israel to Syria Palaestina--Palaestina was derrived from the Philistines, the ancient enemies of the Israelites who also inhabited the land; he also renamed Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina. The Israelites/black slave descendants will not be a sovereign nation in the land of Israel again until they are gathered from the lands of their exile/captivity and returned to the land of Israel by YAH Himself, which will be the Second Exodus (Isaiah 11:11, Jeremiah 16:14-15, Jeremiah 31:8-9, Ezekiel 20:33-44, Deuteronomy 30:1-5, et cetera.) Until then, "YAH shall smite you (Israel) with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you." (Deuteronomy 28:28-29) Yes, the spirit of blindness is part of the Curses of the covenant (Leviticus 26:14-39 and Deuteronomy 28:15-68;) and no man will save us because YAH ONLY is the Savior of Israel and it is He and He alone who will save us. "I am YAH, and there is none else, there is no Savior beside Me..." (Isaiah 45:5) As Isaiah 59:8-10 says, "the way of peace they (the Israelites) know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us (Israelites), neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men." YAH is literally the only hope the Israelites/black slave descendants have for restoration. Ezekiel 36:24-28 "...I (YAH) will take you (Israel) from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your Father."
