Setting My Pride Aside: A Big Step Forward in Our 2025 Garden

It’s amazing what can happen when you set your pride aside and ask for help.

In this 2025 garden update, I share how a single day of family teamwork made a world of difference in our backyard garden. From shifting heavy barrels and laying hardware cloth to installing new raised beds and prepping for our best tomato season yet—it was a transformation that simply wouldn’t have happened the way it did without my grandson and his dad.
We’re saying goodbye to the patchwork setup and hello to Hamilton Homestead progress - thanks to a whole lot of help. In this video, I’ll walk you through the latest updates: new raised beds (including one with a super cool bench John built), how my Roma Tomatoes from Rainbow Seeds!!! #SurvivalSeeds2025 are doing, and what we’ve learned so far this season.

Some of my seedlings are thriving, some are struggling—and I’m learning to be okay with both. There’s still work ahead, but we are off to a great start.
