MAJOR ICE RAID! 'Operation Tidal Wave' 800 Arrested In Illegal Immigration Crackdown In Florida

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in collaboration with Florida law enforcement, launched "Operation Tidal Wave," a large-scale immigration enforcement initiative resulting in nearly 800 arrests across the state. This unprecedented four-day operation targeted high-risk undocumented individuals, including members of violent gangs such as MS-13 and the 18th Street Gang, as well as fugitives and suspected terrorists. Notable arrests included a Colombian national convicted of homicide and a Russian national wanted by Interpol for vehicular manslaughter. The operation was facilitated by the 287(g) program, allowing local police to act as federal immigration agents, and received significant support from Customs and Border Protection. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis praised the initiative, highlighting the state's active cooperation with federal authorities to enhance public safety through stringent immigration enforcement measures.
