Thunderbolts Kicking Off the Summer of Slop is Perfect for Hollywood!

Thunderbolts is going to lose a considerable amount of money, yet it has the chance to be a moderate success in the grand scheme of the MCU. It's opening weekend is on pace to be near the bottom of the franchise, but being sandwiched between two more consequential entries allows for it to skate by and end the era of disaster for Marvel and allow other studios to test out other nonsense in the meantime.

The Minecraft Block Party tactic is taking to theatres this weekend. Come and meme with your friends while an obnoxious movie plays in the background. It's outright pathetic.

But Disney isn't too worried if and when the New Avengers flops, Lilo & Stitch is a few weeks away and the Deadpool & Wolverine formula will be enough to bolster Avengers: Doomsday and ring out one last shot at glory.
