Die zweite mongolische Invasion Japans fand im Jahr 1281 statt und wurde vom Mongolenherrscher Kublai Khan befohlen, nachdem die erste Invasion 1274 gescheitert war. Diesmal war die Angriffskraft deutlich größer, mit einer Streitmacht von über 140.000 Soldaten und mehreren tausend Schiffen, aufgeteilt in eine östliche (koreanische) und eine südliche (chinesische) Flotte.
