GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition | Mission #89: VERTICAL BIRD

While hanging out in Madd Dogg’s mansion studio with Kent Paul and Maccer, CJ is unexpectedly contacted by Mike Toreno, who interrupts the music to deliver one final mission. Despite CJ’s frustration, Toreno pressures him with the promise of finally securing his brother Sweet’s release. CJ is tasked with stealing a military Hydra jet from an amphibious assault ship docked at the Easter Basin Naval Base. After sneaking aboard, disabling the ship’s SAM (Surface-to-Air Missile) defenses, and stealing the jet, CJ is pursued by enemy Hydras. Toreno assures him that the military won’t shoot him down to avoid an international incident. CJ manages to destroy a flotilla of spy ships at Sherman Reservoir and escape his pursuers. Despite the mission’s success, Toreno distances himself from the operation, leaving CJ to deliver the stolen jet to Verdant Meadows Airfield on his own. The mission ends with CJ frustrated yet again by Toreno’s manipulations—but one step closer to freeing his brother.
