Trump on impeachment ‘What the hell did I do’

Donald Trump: And today they did it again. Some guy I had never heard of, John James… is that guy a congressman? He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to start the impeachment of Donald Trump.” What the hell did I do? Here we go again. They want to impeach me.

This lunatic… This lunatic was talking. I had the TV volume way down, and I said to our great First Lady, “Listen. Did I just hear they’re impeaching me again?” We’re getting good at this. No, they’ve gone totally crazy, these people. And you know what? They’ve completely lost their confidence too. They can’t even shut up a lunatic like that dumb guy who said it.

And then there’s the other one, the guy who’s always got a cane. He’s always impeaching. He raises his cane… always impeaches. But they have no control over those people. No control. And the reason is they’ve lost their confidence. They have no confidence anymore as a party. They have no candidates.

And when they say that Bernie… Bernie is probably the best they’ve got. By the way, he’s about seven years older than me — or more… eight years older. I’ve got to give him credit for one thing: he’s a lunatic, but he’s still pretty sharp. And he’s going around with AOC plus three. You know, the three that follow her. They hang on for crumbs. They hang on for little scraps.

And they get crowds. They say, “Oh, the crowd…” Our crowds are so much bigger than theirs. Their crowds are small. If I ever had a crowd like their biggest crowd, they’d say, “It’s over for Trump.”

President Donald Trump celebrated the first 100 days of his second term at a campaign-style rally in Michigan, where he blasted Democrats and one Michigan lawmaker who filed articles of impeachment against the president on Monday. Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., announced online he was introducing seven articles of impeachment over several of Trump’s second-term actions, including the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador and his administration’s claim they could do nothing to return him to the United States. “What the hell did I do? Here we go again. They want to impeach me. This lunatic,” Trump said to the crowd in Warren, Michigan, while referencing Thanedar. Speaking of Democrats overall, Trump said, “They have no control, and the reason is they've lost their confidence. They have no confidence anymore as a party. They have no candidates.” He added that Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was “the best they have,” and went after Sanders' age and called him a "lunatic" but is still "pretty sharp."
