Dana Bash: It's been the most chaotic first 100 days in modern presidential history, from taking a sledgehammer to the federal government to targeting political opponents and launching a global trade war, the chaos of the last 100 days is a feature, not a bug. It's always been an intrinsic part of Donald Trump's style. And unlike in his first term, the president is now surrounded by people who want the chaos.

For millions of his hardcore supporters, this is what they voted for November. But nearly six months after Election Day, a flurry of new polls show the president has lost the middle. Less than a third of independents approve of the Trump presidency so far. And a new CNN poll out this morning reveals that 41% say they're afraid about the rest of the president's term, another 1,362 days.
