In the Lyman direction, Russian forces persist in their gains on the southern flank. The military is extending its territory, both in a southern direction towards Lyman and a northern direction, approaching the border of the Kharkiv region. Intense hostilities are also occurring in the vicinity of Hrekovka, located west of Makiivka. Notably, this area is one of the last settlements in the LPR that remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).

The following is a detailed chronology of the fighting in the sector.

The most significant gains have been achieved along the Nove – Katerynivka – Novomykhailivka line. Recent developments indicate that Katerynivka has been fully liberated; however, battles for Nove and Novomykhailivka continue.

The opposing force is endeavoring to transfer reinforcements via armored vehicles. However, these are being destroyed by Russian unmanned aerial vehicle operators as they approach the settlements.

In the southern region, Russian military forces persist in their advance along the Zherebets River on both sides of the river. Assault units have advanced towards Myrny (Dzerzhynsky) and expelled the AFU from Yampolivka. They have engaged in combat for control of the initial dwellings situated on the northern periphery of Torske.

In the central sector, armed confrontations persist in the vicinity of Nadezhda. In the period spanning February and March, the opposing forces initiated multiple mechanized assaults on the village. By April, the Russian military had successfully expelled the opposing forces from the settlement, and a Russian flag was raised in the village.

Recent observations indicate a surge in activity along the entire contact line in the sector, extending to the northernmost reaches near Lozova.

Russian military forces are systematically progressing along various sectors of the front, thereby establishing an additional point of pressure for the Ukrainian command. Following the capture of key strongholds in the vicinity of Katerynivka, the Russian Armed Forces have demonstrated a marked increase in their rate of advancement.
