In this first episode of Still Wakes the Deep, I step into the boots of an oil rig worker stationed off the stormy coast of Scotland. What starts as a routine day quickly spirals into a nightmare when the rig's drill strikes… something. The entire structure is rocked, systems fail, and something horrifying begins to spread.

As I navigate the wreckage in search of survivors, it becomes clear this is no ordinary disaster. Strange, fleshy growths have begun to infest the rig, warping reality and transforming the crew into grotesque monstrosities made of flesh and bone. Neural glitches pulse through my vision when I get too close to the corruption. The tension builds as I push deeper into the rig’s haunted corridors, ultimately reuniting with my friend Roy in the galley—right before the episode ends.

This is atmospheric horror at its best. Come with me as we uncover the chilling mystery of what really woke beneath the deep.
