A rational number is a number that can be written as a fraction of two integers, but the bottom integer, or denominator, is not zero. But there’s more to a rational number than just being able to write a fraction. These guys are all over the place! There are infinitely many rational numbers. In fact, pick any two counting numbers. There are infinitely many rational numbers between any two counting numbers! Crazy how that works, and that nugget is above and beyond the scope of this video and this channel for that matter, but that’s just to give you an overview of how common these numbers are.
