Remnant – A Darkwave Instrumental

Thousands of years ago, a genetically modified space explorer suffered a catastrophic accident while entering the atmosphere of an uninhabited planet. Though the spacecraft exploded and mostly vaporized upon impact, a fragment of the explorer's carbon exoskeleton survived and fell to the planet's surface.

This foreign biological material awakened dormant parasitic organisms that had been inactive on the planet for eons. Intrigued by this new substance, the parasites swarmed over the remains and began absorbing genetic information.

As they consumed the astronaut's remnant completely, the parasites used this alien genetic data to transform themselves into an entirely new life form. These evolved creatures now experience an insatiable hunger for similar material.

Rapidly multiplying in great numbers, they are preparing to venture into space. Their goal, to discover more extraterrestrial biological material to consume and further their evolution.

The video was created in 3ds Max, Vray, Tyflow and After Effects. Audio was created in MPC 2.0 with synths such as Pigments, Hype, EZ Drummer and a few others. That’s all for now and beware the space parasites 😊
