Alpena Power seeks bill credit assistance

Nearly a month after the ice storm, Alpena Power Company has requested a waiver for bill credits from the Michigan Public Service Commission. MPSC requires utilities to provide bill credits to customers for outages beyond a duration depending on conditions, as well as credits for multiple interruptions. Alpena experienced two transmission grid outages lasting over 41 hours during the storm affecting nearly all of Alpena’s customers. David Barr Michigan News Source.
