								Senator Gary Peters has reintroduced the Strong Communities Act which would give federal grant money to law enforcement recruits for their schooling. Applicants would be required to serve full time as an officer for at least four years in an agency within seven miles of where they have lived for the past five years in order to qualify for the grant.
