Regarding the economy, it is TRUE that recession and even depression were baked into the economic cake for 2025, it’s true that the pain is inevitable and also true that Biden level debt and deficit spending are partly responsible.

However, the actions of this president particularly with the tariffs are the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire and one can only surmise that they are either completely insane or pre-meditated, in an attempt to create a crisis worthy of an emergency declaration and global reset.

In other words … they are making it WORSE.

This week’s numbers are devastating: growth is negative, inflation is rising, the Fed is castrated (unable to cut and afraid to hike), tariffs are collapsing trade, consumers are depressed, wages are down and and investment is drying up. And this isn’t transient or temporary … it’s structural according to @croakycaiman.
