A couple years ago, I invited my friend Sarah Yourgrau onto the podcast to discuss Facebook’s surprising decision to cancel Returning the Favor. After 100 episodes, an Emmy Award, and 2 million fans who still wanted more, it seemed like an odd decision, and I wanted to close the loop for the fans who were demanding an explanation. At some point in that conversation, I (might have) indicated that I would change the name and fund a new show myself, if the fans of RTF and the people closest to me thought it was good idea. Well, two years later, the first episode of People You Should Know is about to drop on YouTube, and I thought it might be wise to re-introduce you guys to Sarah, my former producer and current co-host. Among her many talents, is the strange ability to make everyone around her happy, which I’m hoping will increase the odds of our mutual success. In other words, if People You Should Know is a success, much of the credit goes to her. And if it doesn’t, I blame her entirely.
