Rep. Kevin Petersen of Waupaca, Rescind Your Vote!

Observer Rule 24-032 will go into effect on May 11th, 2025 if Republican Representative, Kevin Petersen of Waupaca, does not rescind his vote. I don't know if he has ever observed before, but those of us that have know that much of the verbiage in this rule is not observer friendly. Ann Jacobs and Don Millis, Wisconsin Election Commissioners, have no problem denying observers the right to see AND hear all public aspects of the voting processes, including: observing drop box locations, observing what Ann Jacob's calls "mail" that comes into the central count locations, observing the processing of absentee ballots, observing vulnerable voters in nursing home facilities as special voting deputies want us to. The Commissioners did not bother to invite legislators, the specialists in making laws, to their meetings while making the poorly written rules. A judgment call Don Millis regrets as heard at the last hearing for the rules. We are asking Rep Petersen to rescind his vote and give the legislators time to write fair and proper laws, to include observer recourse, that support the already existing 7.41 observer statute before the Wisconsin Elections Commission has another opportunity to try to place these same awful rules into effect again.
