Reject: A Super Superhero Story (part 58)

*Entering into the Nesh/Ack business office he and Zach had located, Fridge finds it strangely empty. He drops the head of Candy Cane, no need to use it for surprise if no one is around, as he heads for the only thing he can spy. It is an express elevator that takes him down, spilling him out into a sub basement that is also empty. In fact, Fridge only finds himself surrounded by cages holding rabbits, a few goats, and a couple cats and puppies, cages that also are oddly marked with strange symbols and hold IV lines carrying blue liquid to each animal. He walks on. The basement only flows forward and so Fridge goes into the next room to find more cages marked with strange symbols, cages now filled not with animals he recognizes only dark yet subdued demon monsters with blue eyes. Each creature stares at him yet never reacts, Fridge somehow sure the symbols inside each cage the only reason why these beats are so docile as he finally finds more people. Fridge enters a room filled with security, one scientist, and a woman chained to a metal table. He quickly attacks, but the scientist escape and frees each demon monster with glowing blue eyes. Freed from their cages, Fridge soon learns he was right as those monsters immediately become enraged. They kill the scientist before attacking Fridge as he attacks each security officer. How can he survive??
