Last Call – Doctor Who; The Last Doctors

With the departure of David Tennant, showrunner Russell T Davies also exited to be replaced by Steven Moffat, who had written some of the most beloved episodes of the RTD era. He was not as good a showrunner as he was a writer. Arguably, this heralded a downward spiral similar to the post Davison era. What’s not arguable, unless you are insane, the end of this period marked the end of Doctor Who, at least for the foreseeable future.
