Numbers 35 – An explicit definition of murder. A big “eye opener!” 2023

Num 35:16
'But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Num 35:17
'And if he struck him down with a stone in the hand, by which he may die, and as a result he died, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Num 35:18
'Or if he struck him with a wooden object in the hand, by which he may die, and as a result he died, he is a murderer; the murderer shall surely be put to death.

This is an explicit definition of murder. If someone intentionally strikes someone with a weapon that could possibly kill him, it is murder. It does not matter if the person did not intend to kill. It does not matter if the offender only meant to harm the other person without killing them. If that person dies, it is murder and the murderer will be put to death.
