The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (PC - 1984) fully amused playthrough part 1/2

This is a text adventure. Before this, I'd never played a text adventure for more than a few minutes, as they never interested me. The very beginning of the game follows the events in the book, but it rather quickly diverges from the book. Turning on captions will show the reasons why I did some things, as well as showing how the hints built into this version can walk you through the entire game.

Part 1 will see me escape Earth, the Vogon Hold, and then onto the Heart of Gold up until the various scenes to visit to ultimately acquire all the items needed to complete the game.
