DOESN’T IT MAKE YOUR ASS HURT?
A compendium of intolerable things, people, and actions.

It makes my ass hurt …

#1. When I’m sitting at a green light but can’t go through because some jackass, in line for a light down the road, is sitting in the middle of the intersection. When last I checked, traffic rules say you are to leave intersections clear, and ‘slipping in’ only to end up blocking an intersection is a fine-worthy thing. Of course, there’s almost no policing of our roads … but more on that later.

#2. When last I checked, there’s virtually no police highway presence in my area. I live in Garden City, a small town bordering Boise and Eagle, Idaho. This ever-crowded stretch of highway isn’t patrolled by the Boise Police Department because it’s a State Highway. It’s not patrolled by Garden City Police because it’s a State Highway. The State claims jurisdiction but does absolutely nothing to patrol this stretch of road. You’d grow old and die waiting to see a State Trooper anywhere on this major thoroughfare.

In fact, they won’t even respond to accidents. They have a contract with the City of Boise to ‘eventually’ respond to accidents along this 5-mile stretch of road. The County Sheriff’s Department has ultimate authority here, but won’t patrol this stretch of road because ‘they are understaffed’.

#3. When there’s no response from the Highway Department even after a number of accidents have seen vehicles crash through fences and lending in people’s back yards.

#4. When the State Legislature, so afraid of the governor, won’t intervene in this deadly traffic situation in any way. They’re too busy patting each other on the back, driving with special license plates on their cars, and staying out of the Governor’s way.

#5. When the governor runs the state completely un-opposed. The State Supreme Court, the House and Senate are literally afraid of this governor and his “Boss Hog” leadership.

#6. When local press, that being television, radio and newspaper steer well clear of the governor, unless it’s to kiss his ass.

#7. When the mayor of our capitol city, Boise, is an avowed Socialist, having declared Boise a ‘Sanctuary City’, openly champions DEI in city hiring, and dares anyone to do anything about it. What she’s done to the Boise Police Department is tragic.

#8. When people like me have to do what I’m doing again and again to get the truth out there.
