Brief History:
Deadman’s Harbour was once a small fishing community that played a key role in the local maritime economy. Its name reflects the treacherous waters nearby, where shipwrecks were not uncommon. Today, it's mostly a quiet area with a few cottages and remnants of its past.

Beaver Harbour has a rich history dating back to 1783 when it became a refuge for Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution. These settlers established a thriving fishing industry, and its historic significance is still visible in landmarks like the Beaver Harbour Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in New Brunswick.

Black's Harbour grew rapidly in the 20th century, mainly due to the sardine industry. Home to the Connors Brothers factory, it became one of the largest sardine processing operations in the world. While fishing remains vital, tourism has also become a significant part of the local economy, with visitors attracted to its scenic coastal views and access to the Fundy Isles.
