**After Tariffs Imposed: Many Factories in China Face Crisis**

Following the tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on imports from China, NTD reporters spoke with several factory managers in China to learn more about their situation.

"Today, many factory workers have been sent on leave, and most factories are turning to the domestic market. It has become a price war and fierce competition within China. Many factories simply can’t keep up anymore," said Mr. Li, a factory owner in southern China.

A business owner from the Chinese city of Shenzhen said: "The situation is very severe. We haven’t been able to cope since the tariffs were imposed. It’s not just the factories—retail, food and beverage services, the pharmaceutical industry, businesses of all kinds. Everyone is being pushed to the brink. The entire economy is in trouble, and people are struggling to survive."

Danny Lau, a factory owner in Hong Kong, said: "The U.S. market is such a large market that it’s hard to replace. Most of our profits come from the U.S. market, so without it, it will be difficult for us to survive."
