Epic games made a standout impression when they created Unreal Tournament in 1999. The game's initial success and accolades spawned the four updated versions, one for each release of the Unreal Engine, for which the game was named after. However despite Defining a genre, being their flagship product, and acquiring a loyal fan-base that still plays the game today, development of UT4 was suspended in 2017.

The senior design team of Epic was pulled from UT4 and told to help out a struggling battle royal project they didn't know what to do with. Well they turned that game from a PUBG wannabe into the unprecedented success that is Fortnight. When the loot boxes poured out, and the money poured in, the UT team was assigned permanently to Fortnight and all development of Unreal Tournament was suspended. To add insult to injury, all servers related to Unreal Tournament and it's iterations were shut down, ending UT's adrenaline pumping legacy once and for all.

But all is not lost, we've brought to you the music of Unreal for those that want to relieve they glory day of late night frag fests. There are also community hosted servers linked above for the true die hard fans of UT that still want to play the best game of all time. The beta version of UT4 can also be downloaded and played for those that want to see what the future could have held.
