Peter and John Cause a Ruckus

“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29

The world and the powers that be will always demand compliance. Whatever they want you to do, they will expect you to do it, or they will set themselves against you. Because if they cannot control you, to them, you are the enemy. And they cannot have any enemies. If they perceive that you are an enemy, they will take you out or they will make a public example of you.

When the evil doers demand compliance, remember that our first allegiance must always be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! He is the lover of our souls, He is our Redeemer, and we owe nobody and no institution like we owe Jesus.

Peter and John were told by the authorities NOT to preach anymore in the Name of Jesus, but they did NOT comply.
