Steve Bannon’s Advice for the Trump Administration: ‘Triple Down’

I asked Steve Bannon if he had one piece of advice for the Trump administration:

His response: "Triple down. Make every day more intense than the day before. You're on the right track. You've got the right policies. You've got the right people.

…I can tell you, having a front row seat to this, '16 was providential. That was the hand of God. We had a plane. We had a jet, a man, a message. We had no organization, no money. That was the American people stepping up and saying, I want this guy. This guy's different. I've heard enough of the Clintons. I've heard enough of the Bushes. I've heard enough of this crap. I want to give this guy a shot.

…The pandemic and the stealing of the 2020 election was also the hand of God. At the time, it didn't seem that [way] but if we had gone right into a second term, it would have been like trench warfare. It would have been like the Western Front in World War One, just two sides dug in, and they kind of had Trump surrounded.

…We had the time to regroup. Trump had the time to think…We had the time to think through what we had to do with the Chinese Communist Party. You had those four years of preparation.”

…What I would tell the President and his team: urgency, action, intensity. Every day, when you've got an enemy on the run, you keep them on a run. Never take the foot off the pedal."
