LEV 23:36, ‘For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.
קֹדֶשׁ qōḏeš מִקְרָא miqrā’ = a holy rehearsal. Mikra is strongs H4744 mik-raw'; from H7121; something called out, i.e. a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal: assembly, calling, convocation, reading.8 is the number of new beginnings, so part of the message of the feast was to go and live a newly rededicated life to HaShem – the LORD. Ha the Shem Name = the NAME above all names.
JOH 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Yeshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to ME and drink.38 “He who believes in ME, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”39 But this HE spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in HIM would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet, because Yeshua was not yet glorified.
The golden lamps stands would be lighted illuminating the Temple and, in fact, the entire area. This too prophetically looked forward to the coming of the Messiah. Yeshua identifies HIMself as that saving light (the light of the world) in JOHN 8:12, I AM the light of the world: he that follows ME shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
I AM the light of the world: Light was an important symbol in the Feast of Tabernacles. During the feast, many symbols and ceremonies remembered the pillar of fire that gave light to Israel during the Exodus.
Since Yeshua is the Word (JOH 1:1), it makes perfect sense that HE is also the light of the world. In the creation, there was light before the sun, moon and stars were created… HE Yeshua was the light of the world, and HE still is and will always be!
If the Jews demand 2 witnesses in order to satisfy the Jewish law of evidence (2 or more), those two witnesses exist; they are Yeshua and HIS Father.GOD the Father also testified that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of GOD and GOD the Son.
I am going away, where I go you cannot come: Yeshua knew HE was going to Heaven. Because of their hatred against HIM, Yeshua could say that HIS accusers were not going to Heaven. Where HE was going, they could not follow.
Yeshua says to these leaders who considered themselves to be above in the eyes of GOD (both topographically and spiritual speaking): You think you are high up because of your Jerusalem location and Jewish status? Yeshua is saying, and then: “No, you are actually from down below, because you belong to this world (your thinking) and I belong to the redeemed world to come. That world is from above.
