Contemplational Breeze

As the wind blows, I feel an ambient glow
A whisper, a reminder telling me to let go
It's cliche as it sounds but not as simple to be,
The death of the ego just won't let me be.
So here I am writing this poem
As I sit with my thoughts, contemplating if validation is well worth the cost.
Even when I'm not looking for it, people think it's so.
That is the hardest part of letting the shit go.
When your creativity is misunderstood for seeking approval, Why continue putting yourself through it?
The easiest way out is to leave two holes in your head with a bullet.
But that fateful, gold round, will it truly set me free?
Or will I end up back here in the same place where I don't want to be.
The easy means of escape lies in my hands.
It can be temporary through a quick fix or permanent through a glock. As I sit back and watch my life pass by, not bothered to look at the clock.
