A foundation stone was laid in 1868… and then nothing happened for 24 years. No construction, no explanation—just a silent gap in the timeline. We’re told men with no architectural training—a carpenter and a cloth merchant—designed and built massive Gothic cathedrals and government buildings without blueprints, documentation, or even basic knowledge of structural engineering.
