Will Britain have to sell its museum contents?

Living in China as a foreigner, walking around the Beijing City Museum and looking back at the declining U.K. I can not help but start to ask a question: is Britain's decline by default? and if it continues will be selling our assets such as the NHS and our museum pieces? The wealth gap in the U.K. is unsustainable and people are not happy.
