Man faces fraud charges

An Emmet County man is facing charges for alleged construction fraud. Carter Bassett of Petoskey, was arraigned last week in 90th District Court on nine felony charges. Police say Bassett traveled across Northern Michigan accepting money from homeowners without finishing construction projects. His bond was set at $10,000. Bassett is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 18th. David Barr Michigan News Source.
